This popular class is for the deeply curious theatre lover who wants to explore in depth how theatre-makers think, create, and turn their personal inspiration into art for the stage. Each week students will be given plays, articles, videos, or theatre texts, and then engage in discussion with professional theatre artists. Topics and texts for this upcoming session include Peter Brook’s The Empty Space, the evolution of the American Family in dramatic literature, and the portrayal of politics on the stage.
Class meets for an 8-week session.
